SEDDIT is a competence center funded within the framework of Vinnova’s initiative in Advanced Digitalization, where universities and companies collaborate to conduct research and education in digital societal transformation with the aim of strengthening Sweden’s competitiveness.

New PhD Student-Nils Axelsson

On October 13 Nils Axelsson joined SEDDIT as new PhD student at Uppsala University. Nils will work on Reinforcement learning for multi-agent systems.

Visit by Associate Professor Manon Kok

Associate Professor Manon Kok, Delft University, visited SEDDIT August 13 - 27. The visit included discussions with researchers within SEDDIT and  experiments. During the stay Dr Kok also gave  a talk about her research.

RESEARCH

The aim of SEDDIT is to generate results of high scientific quality and strong relevance for the participating companies. The aim is also to contribute to the efforts towards a more sustainable society and the competitiveness of the companies in the center.

The research will be concentrated on the two focus areas Zero carbon emission and resilient transportation systems and Societal security and environmental monitoring, respectively.

EDUCATION

SEDDIT has close connections to the engineering education at Linköping and Uppsala Universities. The researchers in the center are engaged on all levels of the education, ranging from Bachelor’s to PhD level, and offer a large set of courses related to the Core competences of SEDDIT.

In addition, Master’s theses and student summer projects represent important links between the academic and industrial partners.
